Those who love money will never have enough. How meaningless to think that wealth brings true happiness!

Ecclesiastes 5:10

Remember the Lord your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful.

“No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.

Wise people think before they act; fools don’t—and even brag about their foolishness.

Proverbs 13:16

Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8

It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Yes, we should make the most of what God gives, both the bounty and the capacity to enjoy it, accepting what’s given and delighting in the work. It’s God’s gift! God deals out joy in the present, the now.

Tell those rich in this world’s wealth to quit being so full of themselves and so obsessed with money, which is here today and gone tomorrow. Tell them to go after God, who piles on all the riches we could ever manage—to do good, to be rich in helping others, to be extravagantly generous. If they do that, they’ll build a treasury that will last, gaining life that is truly life.

1 Timothy 6:17-19

Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.

And now I have it all—and keep getting more!

You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, his generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus. Our God and Father abounds in glory that just pours out into eternity. Yes.

When we approach money with the right attitude and look to God’s Word as a source of guidance, we can learn to manage our finances in a way that brings glory to God.

It can be easy to fixate on our wealth in this uncertain world, thinking it can solve our problems. Wealth can be a gift from God, and we can use it to bring Him glory when appropriately managed. In times of prosperity, God calls us to be generous and ready to share with those who have less. By being generous and rich in good works, we store up the treasure of a good foundation for the future.

Scripture reminds us that God ultimately owns everything here on earth. Our job is to responsibly use the resources that God has given us. We also have the opportunity to bring God glory through the ways that we manage our finances.
