Anyone else feel like church nowadays is just Ted Talks with Bible verses sprinkled in
I feel it too. Many churches are 501c3 churches, that’s been a huge stumbling block for Pastors as those that align with being nonprofits are limited to their preaching.
Will always recommend Stephen Darby. Him & if one is into prophecy, Leeland Jones & Remnant Saved 144.
Who do ya listen to?
This is what I love about humans in general. Like I keep getting amazed at how humans can build beautiful places in remote places, and provide it infrastructure.
Like I’m wondering looking at that, how does it have running water? Electricity? Heating? Etc
And crazy thing is, it probably does & even has WiFi lol.

Don't really listen to anyone in particular just tag along with my family on Sunday and I noticed a common environment at the places we've attended
Like all these fog machine and lightshows, 30 year old white pastors wearing hipster clothing I think it's just a millennial thing
One of the pastors was talking about doing a social media cleanse for a week and he was missing out on his "memes" lol
The remote ones get to survive the Ayatollah
Where’s this? You have an awesome eye for design
Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem

kinda the same thing as this?

He mentioned Facebook as his primary social media so I don't think so
The question of liberty comes down to your perspective on the end of Man. The question will only be sorted out if you sort out firstly whether Man is his own end or if Man has an end outside himself.
If Man is an end in himself then it is right that he should be able to do anything he wants. But if Man has an end outside of himself then what he should or shouldn't do depends on that end. If I do something which is going to wreck my reaching that end I better not do it and I ought not be free to do it. I ought be free only for those things that are going to help me get that end.
As an example, imagine a Boeing 747 airplane. Is the 747 an end in itself, or is its end to fly?
If its end is in itself does it ever need to take off? No. You could cover it with moss, gold-plate it, and remove its wheels. If it is its own measure of its end, if it is sacred in and of itself, then it can do whatever it likes, but it wouldn't take off.
On the other hand, if it’s end is outside itself, flying, then what is good or not good is going to be governed by that end and for the plane to fly it must obey a very large number of rules. In other words, in order to be free to fly - it has to do without a whole lot of other freedoms. The end requires a whole stack of rules to be obeyed, so the liberty to fly means a great deal of constraint.
So what is the nature and end of Man?
What do you think of circumcising
The new covenant thru Jesus doesnt make it necessary or?
What do you think of circumcising

Our hearts are to be circumcised, that’s where the Covenant lies at. The key is to search these two topics. Read the verses before anyone’s commentary. Allow the Holy Spirit to break down His word 2 ya (us)
1) New Covenant
2) Circumcision of the heart
Old Testament & New, nothing changes.
Deut 10:16
16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked
Hebrews 8:10-11
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
Romans 2:29
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

So what is the nature and end of Man?
The most rudimentary basis of men is to adhere Ecclesiastes 12:13 as well as Revelation 14:12
Ecclesiastes 12:13
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Since we’re under Christ, we add another level. The foundation are the commandments. As Christ told us:
Mark 12:29-31 (Deuteronomy 6:4-25)
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
It’s always about Faith & the Commandments b
Revelation 14:12
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
@maxx now pertaining to our daily work, we’re to work to all of our might while expressing our gifts. Those gifts can be carnal or spiritual
Proverbs 18:16
16 A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.
John 3:27
27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
This is a thread for followers of Jesus Christ to discuss their faith and have a place to talk with other Christians or for anyone that may have questions regarding Christianity in general. All are welcome. Quote me to be added to OP!
