  • I'm glad he put Tenet out when he did too. Most people on Tenet's release were saying it was his worst film, and Dunkirk had just been hailed by many critics as his greatest and most mature yet. After Dunkirk, he just went "screw it, I wanna get weird" and put out his most alienating and bizarre work almost as if the pressure to follow up Dunkirk was completely non-existent.

    Under normal circumstances, I'd be a little worried about him buckling under pressure to follow Oppenheimer up. But he's proven....to kinda not give a s***.

    If he has something in the bag worse than Tenet, whatever. At least we know it'll be weird as f*** and something we've never seen before. And even now, Tenet is getting a surprising cult following and being reappraised by a lot of people. Pretty great.
