What rules they got in place?

30 (or 25% of capacity, depending on which number is lower) max per screening

u can sit with the person u came with next to u, otherwise everyones keeping atleast 3 seats between them

u cant like hangout there.. so u immediately come and go get snacks and to the screen (or toilet first)

it was wild tbh, when we came to the cinema it felt so empty, like we were there before opening time yk? so it felt rlly safe tbh.

It's not the projector. It's the film.

Have you seen the size of a 70mm IMAX reel?

Oh yeah I was going to use Hateful 8 as an example but that wasnt 70mm IMAX

I mean knowing Nolan, it could be possible he figured out a way to create a new way to handle 3+ hr runtimes in 70mm IMAX

Plus does it even have to be 3 hours+ or 3 hours+ worth of 70mm imax footage?

Yeah 70mm IMAX is like 3 times the size of 70mm film (which are already significantly bigger than 35mm). The reels are massive.

He can't figure out a way to do 3+ hr runtimes in 70mm IMAX without overhauling every single projection/reel system in the world for 70mm IMAX films.

Additionally, the prints that are shown in theaters use IMAX film for the entire movie. It doesn't use two different film formats. The print is the 65mm and 70mm IMAX formats printed on 70mm IMAX film.

I'm a nerd lol. There's a reason Interstellar was 169 minutes with credits to a tee. TDKR was also 165 minutes.

Been going to a few places recently and it's clear that people are over the quarantine. Only way I see this movie not coming out/not doing well in July would be if the virus has a massive rebound.

“It’s an incredibly complicated movie, like all of Chris’s movies. I mean, you have to watch them when they’re completely finished and edited three or four times to understand what the true meaning is,” Pattinson says. He pauses for a moment, then continues with a self-deprecating laugh. “When you’re doing them, I mean, there were months at a time where I’m like, ‘Am I . . . I actually, honestly, have no idea if I’m even vaguely understanding what’s happening.’ And yeah, I would definitely say that to John David. On the last day, I asked him a question about what was happening in a scene, and it was just so profoundly the wrong take on the character. And it was like, ‘Have you been thinking this the entire time?’ . . . There’s definitely a bond in the end in kind of hiding the fact that maybe neither one of us knew exactly what was going on. But then I thought, Ah, but John David actually did know. He had to know what was going on."
