I just watched dune 1 for the first time on a plane yesterday and the whole thing felt like a set up for the sequel. Also thought the acting made me feel it wasn't far off a superhero movie with just more lore and a more creative approach to the world and ship design.
I want to be pleasantly surprised by the 2nd because I genuinely want to make sure I don't miss out on the 3rd if I do find myself taken by it, but for me it wasn't even close to Denis's best
Why would you do that
S*** take? Bro YOU are the one comparing Dune to The Odyssey. Nobody was even thinking about a movie that takes place 20,000 years after Ancient Greece until you brought that up
They do kinda have some similarities honestly
everyone in this thread who watched the odyssey:

Hell yea bro, they are falling for the woke agenda !!!!!111
First dialogue of the movie is spoken by Travis Scott
Maybe the boycotters were right
So what
Anyone here been able to see the Dune preview? How was it?????
They aren’t gonna tell us
They’re still review bombing it on Metacritic
And tbh it won’t even affect the film’s box office performance. The average moviegoer isn’t thinking “hey let’s check the metacritic audience score before we buy tickets for this new blockbuster”
The review bombing is just to give right wingers false reassurance that audiences actually hate the movie
How was the dune footage nerds????
Jus a cool battle sequence
Pretty sick but nothing too crazy
Honestly Metacritic should’ve created a system where users have to actually confirm they purchased a movie ticket before they can leave a review
Letting people give a score of zero for a film they haven’t seen is ridiculous
Getting offended by a Chris Nolan movie is crazy work honestly
A whole generation lives to be outraged
Honestly Metacritic should’ve created a system where users have to actually confirm they purchased a movie ticket before they can leave a review
Letting people give a score of zero for a film they haven’t seen is ridiculous
Letting people give scores is absurd
If u dont trust critics that's fine, the only thing that matters is that you should never EVER trust the audiences
