a Matt Damon vehicle in big 2025 doesn’t sound like a good idea to me man but you know what Nolan has earned a bit of goodwill after Oppenheimer lived up to the unwarranted hype he’s carried throughout the majority of his career, so I’ll walk with him on this one a little bit
The dude made a WWII film with unknowns and Harry Styles as the leads (zero Americans in the film) and it made over $500 million.
I think it's not "unwarranted hype" to think a Damon and Holland led movie by him based on one of the most important and significant stories of all time could be successful, even if this has a higher budget than the former.

I find it weird to doubt Matt Damon in general. Pretty lowkey dude tbh just pops out does whatever movies he wants and dips it’s not like he’s controversial. Sometimes they’re giant successes sometimes they’re just aight
This however will be huge lmao

The problem here is you think I’m talking about box office success. I’m talking about quality. I’m saying Oppenheimer was Nolan’s first truly great film, so since he’s coming off of that I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt after pretty much all of his 2010’s output consisted of some of the most overrated films of the 21st century

Idk what to tell you if you think Oppenheimer is his "first truly great film"
Not to jinx anything but Nolan usually puts out a teaser trailer a year out (very smart marketing move), so it may not end up being the only thing we have for super long.
Yeah just like I’ve now seen a thousand remixes of this same post about how often I’m gonna see it posted
The teaser drop that Nolan always does a year ahead is gonna be insane
TDKR teaser still lives rent free in my head

Tbh we're probably getting a teaser this year
If I remember correctly the Oppenheimer trailer dropped in december (seven months before the release date)

Every Nolan film since Batman Begins has had a teaser one year out
we thinking modern language? american accents?
English accents that are so hard to understand . Typical nolan

Memento, Dark Knight, Inception, Interstellar??
Literally anyone thinking Holland was Odysseus was delusional
Odysseus and Telemachus are dual leads in the book
The two obvious ones, the others aren't as easily placed.. I presume Samantha Morton is Penelope?
This exactly why I didn’t want bro leading this film
if its non alcoholic why would he need to show an id

Anne Hathaway. They wouldn't bill the actress for Penelope that low in the casting process
