Don't have to look into it to know he gave a lot of it to a charity he founded and has a controlling interest in.

    Key points:

    -He has donated $8 billion
-He kept 2 million to live off of between himself and his wife
-He doesn’t like donating to things where he is giving cents to a problem that costs dollars aka he wants to find causes where he can introduce an influx in cash that will solve the problem altogether

Feeney gave $3.7 billion to education, including nearly $1 billion to his alma mater, Cornell, which he attended on the G.I. Bill. More than $870 million went to human rights and social change, like $62 million in grants to abolish the death penalty in the U.S. and $76 million for grassroots campaigns supporting the passage of Obamacare. He gave more than $700 million in gifts to health ranging from a $270 million grant to improve public healthcare in Vietnam to a $176 million gift to the Global Brain Health Institute at the University of California, San Francisco.

This is what he donated to

Yeah, he did politics with his money. Sounds like he had pretty humane politics. Good for him. He almost managed to washed the blood and sweat off his hands.

Only thing I can complain about is $1 billion to Cornell, but it seems 350 million of that was to renovate an uninhabited island in NY into a tech hub so that’s pretty useful I guess

And when a guy gives 8 billion you can’t really be mad that he looked out for his own with 1 billion of it

Why? Because I understand he accumulated his fortune through exploitation and then divvied it out as he saw fit? I'd prefer if his workers were compensated adequately rather than we gamble on a guy not being a monster. What did he accomplish? Lobbying for Obamacare? Wow, thanks.

OP is acting like we should be cheerleaders to encourage this behavior when I'd prefer this situation not exist. We don't have to be peasants who curry favor for scraps off the table lol.

wake up to the world kid. people will make more than you. because they are more intelligent or lucky or they just work harder. It's the reality of the world in every system. you think stalin was broke? You can't fight inherent humanity, at least this guy wasn't bad and yes I think that should be celebrated, because every billionare encouraged to do this is one.
At least this guy gave back all his money. He is not obligated to. Neither are you. Do you think everyone is some sorta magical rightious hero who will do that? Saying that you prefer this situation doesn't exist doesn't make that situation disappear. Putting your hands on your ears and closing your eyes yelling LALALA doesn't change the world
