10000% agreed. Been listening to FATD more, but honestly i'm not feeling it. Same with CLB.
Whereas HVM and Her Loss, especially HNM, are so f***ing good.
I still can't believe people were hating on HNM. Such an incredible album.
CLB & FATD are def in the bottom half of his discog when ranked. They’re not bad by any means but they’re nothing special. HNVM is good but kinda gets gassed like others have said. Isn’t no classic album lol.
The term classic gets thrown around too loosely.
I'm even hesitant to call WLR a classic even though it's influence and quality is undeniable.
Out of all the albums listed, HNVM has the closest case of being "classic" and, even then, I wouldn't label it such. But I feel it'll be remembered for Drake stepping out of his zone and the production will age better than many of his other recent albums.
Still, I'd say it's a 7/10 or 7.5/10.
Her Loss I'd rank in the same range. Consistent but still a bit too derivative.
And CLB and FATD are my least fave Drake albums bar none. Both are in the 4-5 range for me.

Spot on
Drake has been on auto pilot for a few years now and that’s okay, he legitimately has no real competition. Put yourself in his shoes lol.
2011-2018 Drake I feel like is the real window of when he was dialed in the entire time. I enjoy the music still 100% but naturally his hunger & the amount of time he’s just spent on top seems to have effected his output & that’s ok.
Imagine still not liking FATD
It’s a ok album but scary hours 3 smokes it lol. I don’t think that’s a crazy statement.
I feel like the 6 tracks we just got you could swap out easy w some of the tracks on FATD

I can only really understand that standpoint from someone that doesn’t really like Drake like that and can only appreciate when he’s “really rapping”.
FATD is really classic Drake music tho. It’s who he is. I love SH3 too, but nothing on there is touching Virginia Beach, Polar Opposites, Rich Baby Daddy, All the Parties, and Members Only
Calling For You->Stories About My Brother
Screw The World interlude->Wick Man
BBL Love-> The Shoe Fits

How’s HL derivative?
Hours in silence, rich flex, spin bout u
Broke boys?
Not duds. But Her Loss clears everything here. Definitely his best project since Views/NWTS

Facts. Drake is more than a rapper and that was always the case
