The Darkest AngelI think Drake is playing it smart. There's no way around it but cd and other physical media are dead. He's already in the lead on streaming out of this whole generation so he's going to get his numbers up as far as he can. He's already at 50 billion streams and no one is coming close. I say he gets to 100 billion by 2028 and retires with that.

I’m starting to go back to what I used to do and download the music from a website and then sync it to my music library. I’ll still stream it but if stuff like that could happen then i think I’ll be safe downloading it for sure

1250 streams from paid accounts and 3750 from free accounts... which kinda suck, it should be something like 700-900 paid, 2000 free

That's for RIAA certifications. I'm not sure about the #'s but if you sell a certain number of singles it counts as an album sale.

560K not 466KThat makes sense. And it seems that all the streams will be paid (excluding yt pandora etc)? Since Spotify was giving out free premium streams?
I think a more realistic number from streams is 509k if you average 1500 and 1250. Would have to do avoid 89k in pure sales which isn’t happening.
Sad that his team doesn’t promote physicals. Guy could touch 700k no problem.
