He's categorized as hip-hop so he kinda counts but if you don't count Post Malone then the last album to do it was Scorpion.

yeah they'll count him officially I guess but I never really consider him as Rap / Hip Hop. He just uses the aesthetic

Look at the difference in units since release.

After 3 weeks, CLB is 444,000 units ahead of DONDA, which dropped a week earlier. Take away the 4th week sales for DONDA so it's 3 weeks counted for each album and that number increases to 501,000 units.

DONDA has a lot of the same features and has 6 more tracks than CLB but none of that mattered. This is the album some idiots actually believed would outperform Drake's album. The gap between both albums is so vast that no one even brings up the numbers anymore.

I know Kanye/his team won't ever try that s*** with Drake ever again. He would have been embarrassed if he dropped the same day as Drake.

I've always found it funny how any other day on KTT or on social media platforms, it's always sales don't matter and they don't equal quality but Kanye fans became Spotify statisticians because they believed that to be some W over Drake. Same KTT that didn't know of Kenny Chesney's existence became country fans the day his album debuted #1 over DLDT and niggas who hadn't listened to a Pusha T song in over a decade became stans when TSOA dropped

Same way Kendrick fans didn't care about numbers till DAMN outsold More Life. That happened and they all started acting like Drake was finished or something completely ignoring that just a year before that, he had dropped an album that did 1M in it's first week. Humble went #1 and hip-hop fans became Billboard stat fact checkers talking about Kendrick got a solo #1 before Drake.

It just shows you that all these people are angry and upset that Drake keeps putting up the numbers he puts up and they're just waiting for anything to can point to as a sign of him losing.

Yb Spotify numbers lookin horrendous

YB is one of those artists who always puts up pitiful spotify numbers but does well enough elsewhere to make up for it, like rod wave and moneybagg yo. though i do think it's gonna be close this week regardless, his AM hold has not been as great as it needs to be to be the clear winner. he could still pull it off but it won't be by a lot if he does.

Most rappers are stronger on Apple music because rap not how much big it has gotten is still only dominant in the west the rest of the world still has pop as number 1.thats why popstars like beiber and Olivia are stronger on Spotify cause it all over the world.am a 100% sure beibers apple music numbers are not better than kendricks
