better hooks, elaborate beats, melodies, and strong structures.. I see people saying he's not being creative, sounds bored/ uninspired, or that the album is too long. I dont think thats the issue.

I think most Drake fans are ok with hearing the typical drake sound and we don't need him to reinvent himself. The problem with this album is a lot of the songs just are not good. I remember when he dropped Take Care, Drake said he would make a hook, then end up making a better hook, and then a bridge and all that. Now I get the sense he walks in the booth and just picks a quick hook and goes with it. I notice a lack of care overall. When you look at previous top albums the first few tracks often had a "timeless", "epic" feel.

Now he starts out with a decent intro, Papi's home which sounds like a throwaway, Girls Like Girls, in the bible, etc. They aren't bad but just pale in comparison to his previous work. I notice a lack of care or just lazy song selection, beat selection, and overall care to make "timeless" music like he used to say he makes....this is not timeless.

There’s so many stories of Drake's getting rude yutes clapped up or performing mob boss gestures like throat slices, clapping his hands, etc. Drake dines at mafia style restaurants like The Nice Guy/Delilah in Hollywod. And he has enough power to bully superstar celebrities like Tory and Kanye around and make them think twice about their actions. This nigga Don Corleone runs every corner and inch of Canada and claimed it as his own. For the first time in forever we’re looking at an invincible GOAT who really lives the stories.
