4/10 after first listen, really wanted to like this but it’s becoming very clear to me now that Drake is just making the same album every year

it sounds like dldt 2.0 which makes me wonder why he postponed the album in the first place

Never been a big fan of rnb drake, he just replicates the same melody over and over and it ain't like he Abel-tier singing wise. This s*** mid af.

This album is for OG fans, this is not a commercial hit imo.

Champagne Poetry first half is kinda mid imo,somethings missing,but the second half is great.

Papis Home is jokes I really like it,classic Drake.

Girls Want Girls is such a weird song,Lil Baby went off i guess but idk i really dislike it.

In the Bible is amazing,all three killed it.

Love All is my fav so far,just a super straight 10/10.

When the snippet for Fair Trade got out I honestly didnt like it but it sounds amazing on here,Travis adds a different dimension to the track too,love this one

Just finished my first listen and this is basically Scorpion 2 but without the highs of Scorpion. There's nothing really terrible about it it just doesn't hold my attention much at all. His delivery just sounds unmotivated on most tracks. I just can't think of any tracks here I really want to come back to aside from Champagne Poetry. Like Scorpion if you cut out the weaker tracks and made it NWTS length it could be a lot better.

Time will tell how it stacks up against the rest of Drake's work. I always love Drake's albums on first listen just because its just so hype and a moment unlike any other artist can create in today's industry. More of his recent stuff like Dark Lanes and Scorpion has lacked longevity for me personally but thats not to say they are bad projects - they still have their own highlights.

I'm optimistic this project has that longevity which puts into into the same realm as Take Care, WATTBA and IYRTITL which are up there in my personal favourite Drake albums which I still listen to from start to finish today.

I'm just glad CLB finally dropped and now we can wait for Kenny and Abel to come next.

The most unfortunate part of the project is that Drake stuck to the formula so most of the music feels bland / not special.
