Dated model but I swear it used to be like this a lot back in the day. They’d give outlets albums and they’d be reviewed super early. Still happens in rock and indie, I remember the last Haim and Bon Iver albums had reviews weeks before their release. Kind of an old school traditional, label PR thing. The last rap album I remember doing it was mr morale weirdly enough
