Kinda glad I held out on the physicals too considering I think people said it’s missing stuff?
Hot take but The Funeral music video is lowkey the Clipse's hardest music video they've made

So fire
Kinda glad I held out on the physicals too considering I think people said it’s missing stuff?
It's only missing So Be It and Tyler's verse I believe. Tyler was probably a late addition, you know how they need these physicals to ship week 1 to count lol

So Be It Part 2 is on backend, so I can finally confirm that it is new beat we heard with same vox
this sucks should’ve been a new song or at least new verses added

i just don't understand why p went with the mobb deep sample when remaking that beat lol
it doesn't carry the same tone or feel of the OG at all
especially considering the fact that he rarely samples. he couldn't play anything that at least serves the same purpose sonically?

I was thinking that. There are hundreds of samples on Splice and Tracklib that would have the same vibe. There’s also sample makers that could reproduce something really similar that would jump at the chance to work on it. AND Pharrell had the option to just play some melodies that strike a similar tone.
The whole vibe of the song will feel way less menacing, way less screw face inducing, way less SOTY material with those big glossy opera vocals and organ synths

Especially if it’s legit the exact same vocal takes, I just can’t imagine that sounding like fits.

yeah i do like this beat but completely different vibe from OG
the way he used God Pt. III sounds like a mashup you’d hear on the radio on Friday night, neither in a good or a bad way

yeah it’s not menacing at all anymore lol, loses all its edge to me
between havoc & the alchemist’s beats i think mobb deep has some of the best production of all time in hip hop but i have never liked GOD pt III, sounds like a fight night intro
i actually just mashed up that sample with the OG drums & verses and it sounds dumb as hell ngl lmaoo i’m sick
This is facts
Another funny way to look at it is Push is just the bad ass little brother
malice really just represents all older brothers we’re never as turnt as our lil brothers for some reason
lol yeah but sometimes it can be the opposite, the older brother is the turnt up one but he protects the younger brother and keeps him out the way
Never really liked "dark church beats" (as I like to call them) so I feel like So Be It pt 2 will get minimal replays from me unfortunately based on what we know
