Lolol now that So Be It OG is officially on album after 1 hour, I need to know who in the camp was pushing for So Be It 2 to beat out the OG…1 hour after release doesn’t seem like a clearance issue.
no idea it trickled down from KTT1 to my lexicon tbh
This could have been a fever dream but I think I’m a live stream of that wu tang record he said “rotate the satellites” to one of his team members off camera and it became a meme lol
Nah MTBDTTF gotta be my favourite
S*** makes me feel like im listening to Liquid Swords for the first time again
does big Steveland know what kind of album they got him on
I NEED A FULL REVIEW FROM YOU
If So Be it is still playing part 2. Clear Cache on spotify
Can confirm it is the OG version
spotify cleared
apple lagging
so be it 2 turned into 1
i’m so glad we got the OG version
that was the ONLY thing holding this album back
”An artist's work is intrinsically linked with the reception of that work and that conversation should be taken super seriously”
This seems to be something that is super hard to understand for a lot of people for some strange reason
People complain about Fantano for this exact reason and they just regurgitate the same NPC “he’s a guy giving his opinion” shlock like he doesn’t directly affect the way an artist and their work is perceived lol
Fantano is really interesting cuz like he is, at the end of the day, just representing HIMSELF, ya know? He just now happens to be the biggest individual music critic ever... and yeah his opinion generally does hold a ton of weight for a lot of personality-obsessed people in an internet world that is more personality-obsessed than ever.
Alphonse is "Pitchfork," the same Pitchfork that has been the flagship of music journalism for the past two decades. When Alphonse, representing Pitchfork, is like "Kendrick sucks, this beef sucks, GNX was average" and then the SAME Pitchfork selects Not Like Us as the #1 Song of 2024, it just feels so f***ing inconsistent... you're just embarrassing yourself as a publication imo
