I’ve sat with the album a lot. Listened to it a lot.

It gotten even better to me over the weekend.

I would say it’s their most thematic album. Like in terms of following certain themes song to song, I think it’s their most consistent. There’s a narrative to the album imo.

Not ready to put it over their first two, for me, but if this is the last Clipse album, I’d be so happy with what we have.

  • POV and so be it makes this album alone

Pharrell's singing is iffy on here but the production is his best work in awhile

I think it's both catchy and off-kilter and that's why people initially are opposed to it. The more you listen though the harder it gets. It really feels like a modernized Neptunes-crafted album.

The first time I heard HHNF and Lord Willin I thought every single verse was precise and quotable and the beats were good in an "off" way. There's something about that combination that makes Clipse very unique. Just listen to this f***ing insanity. Calypso drums and bagpipes

Just word vomit from the mind ...

Damn I can see that but the first beat might be one of the best on here so it makes up for it.

Absolutely. I wish they just kept that beat throughout tbh

the weird high pitched singing from P works really well with his production for me personally
i 100% get why some don’t like it but i think he sounds great on each track

  • Birds Don't Sing is a classic intro

  • FICO is disgusting. That flow Push introduces is insane

I think part of it is the vocal effects

I don't mind Pharrell's singing/hooks, he's usually pretty good. But he sounds out of place on a few of these tracks

    that’s fair tbh

i would prefer his regular voice without effects

I got this above Lord Willin, HHNF still peak but this ain't that far off.

Also I remember making this thread close to 5 years ago on here

    ktt2.com/pusha-t-really-is-one-of-the-best-lyricists-in-hiphop-80393

And Drake stans insisting that all Push can do is coke raps and nothing else. Hilarious because even now a song like The Birds Don't Sing shows that he (and Malice) are still some of the best to ever do it lyrically outside of that lane and it's just a testament to their penmanship that they can keep coke raps fresh in over multiple decades

Is it bagpipes? I thought it was a middle eastern instrument

Or maybe it’s like a cheap recorder sound
