Im not anti long song but honestly a good portion of songs that go over 5 minutes (not counting 2 parters) basically always have like a full f***ing 1-2 minutes of outro or loop. This even applies for me to a lot of long songs that are HIGHLY praised

Its even worse on twitter, i think at least on this site we have more love for music than the average person so deep down a lot of kendrick fans on here appreciate drake on some level and vice versa

But on twitter its literally just like they joined a gang and will blindly follow it no matter what. I wouldnt have been surprised if someone literally ended up killing somebody over the beef, like two random people got into it and took it there over that

I mean yah for sure there are songs that are way too long for no reason and get old fast but when a song is truly beautiful I don't mind if it's 5 min plus

Just 3 examples of songs with more verses than usual, a long progression that feels natural and never get s stale, and a lot of open instrumentation that just sounds beautiful. Plenty of great longer songs

I know most Clipse songs are just 2 verses unless there's a feature, but I think sometimes it works against them. And idk in general I just like songs with 3 verses, that's a lost art in the streaming era
