I feel like preferring Push over Wayne is a good litmus test that you don’t know rap. Unless you’re from New York cause they just have a weird specific taste.

Daytona isn’t even an album and you believe it’s the best one lol that’s jokes. It’s a decent EP for a new artist but for a veteran the production is so bad

he has shown flashes of what he once was on features and certain songs on albums but a whole body of work wayne hasn't been that guy for years

Using Kendrick as a scapegoat doesn’t mitigate the fact that the reason it’s different now is because although he’s always been hit and miss post prime, never diluted the Carter series in the way he did until C6
Also keep in mind, he hadn’t dropped a solo album since 2020, with the album def not being as bad as the one we got this year
Sometimes all it takes is one bad album for people to switch on you like that. Looking at Eminem and Chance.
