They might even end up making more money from album sales than Travis with JB2.
Wrong thread
Get it together
@Orangutan u seen thi?
Lil Wayne moving 6 figures first week in 2025 is the mighty falling? Lmfao absurd agenda being pushed here this easily could have just been a Clipse praise thread
I agree.
Wayne may be past his prime musically but the most of Wayne's peers couldn't sell that much fw at all.
Wayne's been in the game for close to 3 decades.
He's not making prime level music anymore but Wayne's still outselling a s*** ton of young rappers who are supposed to be hotter than him in 2025.
damn those clipse numbers are great
real rap won
5 is worse than 6, you guys just were pretending to like Wayne at that point cause you thought it was the cool thing to do. If 5 dropped this year it would’ve got the same overblown reaction that 6 did, it had nothing to do with music and everything to do with the Kendrick/Kanye fanbase which has taken over hip hop discourse in the last few years
Let it all workout alone is better than C6
C5 wasnt great but at least it felt like a carter album and had some decent songs
Could've been a great album if it was cut yo 11-12 songs
Thats a crazy take
Give a f*** about sales, I really couldn't care less. At the same time I have to be honest, Carter 6 sounds like a bad playlist. Clipse's project is arranged front to back, there is no comparison
P.S: Weezy is(or at least has been) a better rapper than Push and Malice
That’s fine for you, but you can’t really judge artists accurately then. Your opinion can’t hold weight in a debate.
That’s the only type of fan that prefers pusha, these weird album obsessed people. And I’m a full project listener too. But I also have my own compilations of Wayne music. Ignoring Wayne’s incredible output because you’re looking at things through a lens that is hyper focused on albums, (along with likely a rockist ideal of what an album should be) is just wrong and stupid.
Your bias says more about you as a listener than it does about Wayne or pusha. And that’s true of basically the whole wave of modern Wayne haters.
That's why it's my opinion bro lmao I'm not gunna pretend for internet points. I know it's cool to dunk on Wayne rn and you defending him. C3 is the first album I ever bought with my own money in middle school. I'm far from a Wayne hater. I just listen to Clipse/Pusha more as an adult, and Wayne really hasn't made any music I like since I graduated high school. That matters to me when I grade how much I like an artist
@Mitchell
I mean I’m sorry for my ignorance
It’s the best album that’s dropped in 2025
clipse aint do no damn 112 , definitely botted … was projecting at around 90 as early as this morning

Nah, albums, and to some extent mixtapes, have always been a very standardized way rappers are measured. That’s always been the discourse, even by rappers themselves.
C6 is dog s***. That said I don’t think it affects Wayne’s overall legacy at least not to me. He planted his flag in his prime. It just is a matter of whether people turn the page on that and accept those days are long gone or not. To me, they very much are and no shame in that, it happens to many icons.
So Pusha T finally gets the win over Wayne 20 plus years into his career and everyone on here laughing 😂
Why can’t people just enjoy music and not make everything a competition where there isn’t one?

why would they be botting for Clipse
why would they be botting for Clipse
roc nation probably doesnt like the optics of two albums suprise dropping and doubling the clipse after all the press they been doing for the album

I will never understand the overblown hate C5 gets in hindsight, bro actually sounds like he tried on that one
It's obviously leagues ahead of C6 in terms of coherence, consistency, execution, effort, etc. C6 is an embarrassment to Tha Carter name outside of like 3 songs

lol Clipse have never been anything close to a commercial juggernaut and the people at Roc Nation are aware of that. That’s why the sales numbers are crazy. There’s absolutely no one at roc nation that is thinking Clipse selling 112k first week is a failure. If there were, they wouldn’t have even entertained partnering with them.
HHNF only sold 70k week one.
Clipse are a testament to cult following, a strong fan base that might not be huge but are really in love with the music, and strong music that people retroactively go back to in order to understand why they are relevant.
Pusha T a rap nepo baby. Pharrell and Ye did more for him than he did for himself
So he was supposed to work with the mediocre producers?
Wayne doesn't have a single album better than Lord willin' HHNF or this new one. C6 is f***ing embarrassing too.
