let me tell you i listen back to them old clipse albums and lowkey malice washes push on a lot of those tracks. like I don't wanna go too far, cuz push nice too, but malice had some killer verses.

Malice was pretty cool about it. Push was relatively cool but had to point out HHNF.

It was a good interview question though…because if he just said how do you feel about Chad Hugo, it probably would’ve been positive completely.

But instead he asked is there anything missing from the music without Chad, and that made it where they had some level of conflict in answering bc it’s not like they’re going to say “yeah this album is missing Chad Hugo’s bridges” or “you’re right, there’s something missing.”

So I get Push singing Pharrell’s praises and pointing out HHNF. They’re gonna stand on this new project obviously.

There is something not right I gotta say. He was super funny and energetic back in the day when he’d pop into interviews. He’s always been quirky, but definitely seemed different in that run of media he did a few years back.

Clipse is honestly usually pretty close to each other on most of their songs

They both have a fair amount of songs where I think each had the best verse tho but even then it wouldnt be a wash

Chad situation is complicated. Basically, if the truth ever comes out, it'll be at the time of his death and/or someone leaks it.

Some people tend to this Pharrell was using The Neptunes name to get more impact, but the truth is Pharrell was already a household name back then.

There were two reasons to use the Neptunes name.
1) In case Chad's case would get resolved in a reasonable time frame
2) It would still give Chad some credits/revenue on songs he didn't touch.

There's also a reason for this:

Your Neptunes partner, Chad Hugo, whom you met in seventh grade, recently filed a lawsuit claiming you are trying to monopolize the name of your duo. How are you and Chad right now?
