    what's the problem

When cotton is spun into threads, the fibers are stretched to create a tension to weave these threads together. When you dry something made with cotton this tension is gone because of the heat, therefore threads get smaller and you lose the true size of the cotton-made clothes.

I'd say air dry cotton-made clothes for longevity of size and quality

I air dry all of the clothes I like/care about. Only use the dryer for underwear, socks, and stuff I use for physical activity or sleep in.

Yeah the older you get the more you realize how to do laundry. Anyone who doesn’t know, definitely google that shut so you don’t shrink or accidentally f*** up your clothes for real
