    Well the main point of fast food is the low cost and accessibility yes, but all music costs the same lol. There is no greater barrier fo entry to listen to CMIYGL than there is another album

    I mean it depends how you consume music right. I think different music is meant for different purposes. That’s why I never get the sales thing. Like some artists actively don’t want to tap into mainstream sounds and themes and therefore their music won’t do mainstream numbers bc of it. Other artists try tap into easy mainstream and fail miserably and those are probably the worst of them. And other truly great groundbreaking artists convert the mainstream into their sound. But these are like 1 in a million level genius musicians and timing has to be on point too. That being said, this is Tyler’s most mainstream sounding album maybe so I can see the argument that it didn’t hit all the way like it should commercially. But then again, numbers wise, for him this was maybe his biggest album units wise or one of the two biggest so I see it as a win. He was never this commercial juggernaut even in his shock value days.
