I feel like Dylan was more of a departure, whereas you can hear the gospel influence on Prince on almost every project. Like the opening of Let's Go Crazy reminds me of how Kanye will use gospel in that way before launching into something completely secular

Prince had a similar no cursing rule and began altering his older songs lyrics to downright not playing them.

Bob Dylan also began preaching at his shows and disavowing his older music too.
