Imagine being coachella and sitting on HD Footage of daft punks entire set and not releasing it
I knew Kanye was gonna be in it but if you understand how legendary and important that performance was and still is youd want the same
ktt dont know how influential that daft punk set is. one of the most legendary live performances of all time
people involved in each era would need to be involved in the production, mike, virgil, cons etc

mind explaining a bit about it? slightly before my time in being aware of the music industry

40k people crammed into a tent built for 10k people, no one knowing what was gonna happen until the curtains dropped. their stage design with all the LED s*** hadn't been done yet in 06 so it kinda showed how maximalist and over the top the theatrics of a live performance could be. on top of that the actual set is insane a lot of people expected it to be mid because they had just dropped a pretty trash album but they remixed all their classics live and read the crowd perfectly, if you're into edm at all the drops just kept getting better throughout the set
s*** is amazing
after that it kinda started a race for every other DJ to catch up to that energy with their lights and live shows. also exposed a lot of people to the genre, basically starting the mainstream rise of electronic music. it's on wax that a lot of the biggest DJs and producers today were put onto electronic because of that performance, they even got a whole section on it in that coachella doc, i didn't watch it all but they had a-trak and some others talking about how influential that set was to em. skrillex had some tour that a lot of EDM heads consider classic where the idea was pretty much ripped off of this set
