  • Why don't the CEOs get trained on how to treat their employees fairly? But this is the most important thing

I’m not understanding tho lmao like what does that even mean? Be less uptight and by the books professional? Cause I’m Italian and even I feel like I act “more white” in a professional setting cause that’s what’s expected lmao definitely ain’t my actual self.

Kinda like when anybody that’s not white says they put on their “white voice” for an interview.

apparently this is real, and has been corroborated by multiple sources inside Coke.

These little PPT presentations are very counterproductive to intersectionality and provides right-wingers with strawmen to pin on the left.

Whiteness is pretty much a concept that explains INSTITUTIONAL/SYSTEMIC RACISM AND BIASES THAT ENFORCES WHITE SUPREMACY in the USA. It is not a white people hate movement or anything like that, it's simply to explain real deep fissures in the country that should be mitigated/fixed.

These powerpoints point fingers at individuals instead of the systems at play.

This presentation also uses inflammatory rhetoric (if you don't know the nuances) that makes conservatives dig in their heels more and regular white people feel alienated that they should feel guilty and "apologetic" towards POC. This neoliberal idea of wanting/needing to feel white guilt is dangerous because it inflames tensions even more by alienation. Most people just want equality.

You can't handle a systemic issue by having individuals feel guilty and these individuals only wanting to fix it based on their guilt, instead of them feeling that it's the most right thing to do morally.

It makes intersectionality hard because the language is inflammatory towards individuals rather than the overall system that needs to be fixed (and also the current capitalist system that benefits from neoliberalism)

Overall, you shouldn't have guilt being a white person, it's the way you were born (This does not give you a pass to scream white nationalist/ethnostatist/neo-nazi rhetoric from the top of your lungs, it's not the same thing)

If corporations really want anti-racism s***, literally get actual POC to explain the nuances, and that it's not inflammatory race war s*** like conservatives want you to believe. It's simply an academic concept describing SYSTEMIC racism that is being pushed on the individual by neolib grifters wanting to sell their books and that's what wrong.

  • Imagine unironically hating yourself for being white. You have to be weird as s***
