ive been really enjoying the networks class ive been taking so im kinda thinking about looking for a job in IT
would devops be like a mix of both?
im kinda mad i got so good at matlab
i dont think ill qualify for many jobs outside of academia tbh
my python an javascript game is pretty good but i dont have a large collection of scripts for either language. I have over 100 matlab scripts tho lol

being adept in one language gives you a massive leg up when trying to learn/master new languages.
Just pump out some more Js/py scripts now and learn as u go.

from my understanding devops is a mix of them both but it's like 80% programming
some IT but mostly just to setup/adjust things for the programming implementations they are doing
I enjoy IT a lot when we are doing a new install, picking all the parts and figuring out how it all fits together

Yeah im thinking devops is where i'll eventually end up.
Worked customer service my entire life before the last two years of programming so that parts a non issue.
and all the networking/ security is mad interesting to me.
