It’s no secret that YB is blackballed from the mainstream rap scene. Rappers like Drake, Future, 21, Lil Baby etc. won’t work with YB because they are cool with Durk even tho we know most of them fw YB’s music and probably wish they could collab with him. Cole dropped one of the biggest rap songs of the year with Durk and then used another one of the biggest rap songs of the year with Drake to announce that he still wants to collab with Durk’s enemy. It shows a lot about his character. He isn’t interested in fitting in. He’s a true boss and lives by his own rules

i really don’t think YB is black balled

he got songs with Quavo, Nicki, Kehlani, Rod Wave E-40, and BKTherula all made after the beef with Durk.

YB just put himself on an island with this s*** bc he feels like saying f*** the industry, even before he was beefing with Lil Durk. he was notoriously anti feature and difficult for anyone to contact

Youngboy was in prison when King Von got killed, he had very little to do with his unfortunate demise. But he could have used his influence over Quando to try and defuse the problem. Instead he added fuel to the fire by drawing a line in the sand and making album after album dissing Von and Durk.

So in a way, I feel like he black balled himself

this whole run Cole on of working with younger acts or how he was acting in tht Yachty podcast is him trying to undo the effects of “1985” and platinum with no features “you have to have certain level of intelligence to understand” brand around him lol

we don’t have to acknowledge it if it leads to off season being a classic moment

“He isn’t interested in fitting in. He’s a true boss and lives by his own rules”

Sounds like a result from a facebook personality quiz

I don’t even remember the song fr to argue that I’m just saying for whatever reason he has the persona of being the antithesis of “mumble/trap/ignorant rap” and now he’s kinda going hard to shed that stigma and some of it looks funny style to me. Couldn’t even get thru his Yachty interview lol

Honestly this, bro around 1985 s*** was so tired for Cole and his fanbase.

Definitely new life found in his music now compared to back then

Maybe he made a mistake but at least he's willing to admit it unlike 99% of rappers and celebrities. Behavior like this should be admired imo. Whether we like it or not kids look up to rappers and celebrities and if there were more role models like this we'd be better off

What did he do or say wrong

I like his trap features but he wasn’t wrong about that s*** being fundamentally trash. He could have stopped at it’s fun to listen to in the club or car but it’s still fundamentally ass lol
