How are you doing, mentally and financially? Are you working in your desired career? Are you able to live comfortably?
Reason why I’m asking is to see how many people are in my position. Not where I exactly want to be, but I’m definitely getting there. Making proper connections and applying myself in situations that I believe will benefit me.
fr tho
I mean i dropped outta college 12 years ago lmfaoooo so it took some time fr to get to this point

What has your life looked like in the past 12 years? How did you get where you are today?
Did college for a semester when I got out the navy and wasn’t for me at all. Life was of course very hard after that but I learned that work hard and keep looking for opportunities then things will work out. I definitely recommend finishing college though, but it isn’t for everyone.

no shot u can copy what i did. only reason i got to where I am is cuz i was lucky enough to get hit by a car (lucky enough lol) and land an insurance settlement. did all kinds of wild s***, traveled around the world, and again got lucky with the people i met and the things i did
bottom line my advice is that if you going in to any amount of debt for college unless you a nerd fr and obsessed with your major its just not the play. makes more sense to become a tradesman if you just in it for a secure job and decent pay
what you studying?
Just getting my Associate of Arts
Then I have interest in becoming a Product Designer (Industrial Design)

Going to a university instead of community fresh outta HS f***ed me up. Dropped out in my 2nd year because I wasn’t able to afford it. I don’t regret dropping out though, just tryna get people’s perspectives

success is in your future, just keep focused and don't procrastinate.
whats up
ive tried at both uni and cc but i just cant
its weird because i like academically-minded s*** but i hate school
i know i could do it but i was too depressed to give a f***
when i was younger, i should’ve tried harder
its weird because my brother is really a honor roll/deans list type student while im just average and quite unremarkable
my brother thinks im really smart but i think i just don’t apply myself, i dont have that drive to just lock in on the grind
I start college Monday
the system has generally improved now tuition, loans, interest rates and curriculum
Dropped out almost 7 years ago
I’m making more money now than I ever would have with a 4 year degree
