Recent grad already getting super nostalgic. Cliche but honestly best 4 years of my life so far. My campus so f***ing poppin and so much s*** to do it was literally endless. I could go back in time and have an entirely different and new experience just because of how varied it was. Really grew as a person and came into my own from 18-22. Was in a business club that helped a lot with future career aspirations and the club knew how to f***ing throw down as well along with keeping everyone focused. For pure degeneracy and unbridled chaos and fun I had my frat to release that energy. Made some incredible friends in both of those that middle school me never thought I would have had. The bar scene was incredible actually had a use for my jersey collection. Living with all my best homies in one massive loft senior year was sublime. Honestly wondered if this is what having siblings would have been like growing up. My campus was so big there was literally another underground hipster half waiting to be explored. Wish I had more time to explore that but still made the most of it, the hipster music parties was such a dope contrast to fratty bar scene even joined a band played guitar for a while. Transitioned into beat making for fun. Went on dope dates for the first time. Looking back probably should have committed to a long term relationship but was planning for that when I moved to new city. Went on amazing psychedelic adventures through the quad and the forest reserves. Finished my first screenplay, got my STEM degree after grueling 4 years. Looking back even enjoyed all the endless studying nights too even if I hated in the moment.

Real world was pretty dope too but such a change of pace from college, but still exciting before COVID hit. But college straight 10/10

Community college and then went to a local university. Don’t fall into debt for a 4 year experience just to party. Use your dumb ass frat boy friends you went to high school with on the weekends.

Waste of a major (only because I shifted my focus), made lifelong friends, somehow grew & regressed as a person, partied too much, couple pregnancy scares, got chlamydia, accumulated debt, fell in & out of love, etc.

    8/10

  • Nov 17, 2020

8/10 based off of how I grew as a person but I didn’t and still don’t care that much about academics

Freshman year was like a movie, sophomore year has been complete dogshit because of COVID

  • Nov 17, 2020

Also went to a community college then a commuter universe and I can say the college “experience” was meh at best. While I met some cool people there it never developed any more than acquaintances

This reaffirming one of my anxieties that im missing some life changing life development and memories rn cus of covid

I took 3 semesters off after HS and after I finally was bout to start, enrolled at big Uni away from home and everything, covid hit. Now im just over ever getting that campus experience again. I already just turned 20 and leaning towards transferring to my local city college downtown, getting an apt and just finishing my remaining 2.5 yrs

    S*** sucks

feel so bad for everyone thats in college during covid

  • had to live in my car with no money for a month during it bc the school f***ed up my grant that payed the rent, so ever since then even tho i’m not down bad anymore it’s hard to enjoy it. least i did some fun d**** and got some sorority p**** beforehand

college is a f***ing video game imo, and I'll leave that up to everyone's own interpretation

  • Nov 17, 2020

    ass

  • Nov 17, 2020

Graduating next fall. Contemplating grad school, not sure yet tho

  • Nov 17, 2020

    Very awesome 4 years

Kinda sucks that we only live one life cause I wish I could redo it and go to a bigger school in the city but oh well

  • Nov 17, 2020

Wasn't nearly as difficult as it was made out to be, but I'd definitely say if my major was exam or bust I would've had a hard ass time

The most difficult thing was balancing school/work/home-life and staying consistent. Oh and group projects with them lazy folk...

One of my hobbies growing up was writing, so I used that to my advantage to knock out just about every paper with As and the occasional B.

It truly all boils down to your will, drive and ALOT of sacrificing/filtering out all the frivolous s***. Similar to @Legacy, the mantra was class, work, home.

graduated past spring and was easily some of the best years of my life. Frat parties, tailgates, meeting all kinds of people, and just the overall freedom and exploration was amazing, ended up with a 4.0 too as I loved my major. Had the family hookup too so that and along with scholarships I’m barely in debt.

Feel so bad for the freshmen/sophomores since covid ruined everything especially the overall campus experience, made me super nostalgic and appreciative of the pre-covid life

  • Nov 17, 2020

I had pretty much the same experience OP that’s actually wild. I always get super nostalgic because it truly was the greatest time of my life (so far)

  • Nov 17, 2020

I went to community college for 3 years with parties here and there, then worked odd jobs from like 23-25 before getting in a bad car wreck which woke me up from going through the motions and got me to sign back up for school. Now I have around a 3.5 gpa at a honors university and am graduating in May. But I f***in hate Covid because just when I was starting to become friends with a handful of people at school, it moved to all online and I now realize I'll never get that true college experience even if it wasn't going to be the total package as a commuter

  • Nov 17, 2020

I went to a Big Ten school.

I had some really great times. I wish i was a little bit more outgoing and wish i spent more attention to my appearance and clothing style. I dress and look way more attractive now. Plus I had an android phone in college, what was I thinking.

Still, I got my degree which i'm proud of. School part was stressful at times but manageable.

  • Nov 17, 2020

i commuted to a small college and didn't make any real lasting friendships. worst 4 years of my life so far tbh but that's mostly cause my mental state ig and my self image going to s*** which made me not even try to be social

  • Nov 17, 2020

college was cool, took a gap year before to party and do d****, some habits transferred over like the d*** taking, but eventually got over that, met some cool ass people, had a blast until my final 2 years where i just cooled down and focused on school instead
