Seems like a lot of schools might be online this fall. Y’all heading back to your school city/town or staying at home? I have African immigrant parents, I can’t do 5 courses with labs and s*** staying in this house. I think I’d actually kill myself. I need to be free and have a sense of independence. But I’ll save money if I stay. I’m so conflicted and this is my last year too.

african parents i can f***ing relate. at least you're in your last year. If your family is like mine they won't disturb you too much bc they do still want you to do well in school. it's probably a hard adjustment moving back after being gone too.

I'm at home but i've been at home. it was my first year of college this past year

I’m not sure, my school pushed back fall registration like 3 weeks, I think to lobby for in person classes. So kinda hoping they’ll happen, but if not Ima try to see if a friend is down to move out 🤷‍♀️

After taking courses online for summer and last semester I don’t see a need to ever take another class in person again.

I'm dorming in a single so in terms of housing I'm good

I just don't know how it's all gonna work out and what protocols are gonna be put in place. Gotta be extra careful

  • Jun 24, 2020

paying for housing for a year is worth it to stay out of my parents’ hair & have independence imo

it helps that my finaid is pretty generous this next year, but you decide what’s feasible for you

  • this my senior year & my school going fully remote in the fall & prob in the spring too

i'm leaning towards staying home tbh. i'd be missing out on meeting the new freshies and hanging out w the homies but idk i feel like the benefits of staying home outweigh the detriments atm

Online classes were such a blessing in helping me balance work & school, ESPECIALLY for courses outside of my major. Took a smooth combination of both in-class & online, but would opt for the latter whenever I could.

Spoke to alot of people on campus that hated that s*** tho.
