What are you going into that you need to dissect 48 bodies

I’m in bio but need a human science requirement so I took anatomy and I already took anatomy/physiology 1&2 so they put me in the highest level anatomy and we just dissect a body every day of the semester

You dissect a whole new body every day? I can’t imagine that you could get very far on a body on any given day, are you sure you don’t use the same body?

Yeah I posted that the first day of class but there’s like 20 bodies we use and there’s small groups of ~3 and we just dissect the body as we learn about it. But dissecting really doesn’t take too long, if we were using a new body every day we likely wouldn’t run into any problems with time. It takes about 30 minutes to reflect the skin, scrape out the facia/fat, and identify the structures/bones/muscles/arteries etc

Finally got a good job with my degree and if all goes well I'll make 6 figures pretty quickly. Can't wait to pay off all my debts and be able to save and just stop worrying about money. The coverage is pretty sick too, nothing comes out of my pay and it covers 90% everywhere.

I think you're in for a bit of a surprise, it'll take a lot longer than you expect to visualize things. Things like the brachial plexus, the occipital triangle, the forearm muscles, the leg, the hands, the feet, the pelvis, etc., are all going to take quite a bit of time.

It'll definitely be a really cool experience though

We just went over the brachial plexus and cleared everything out down to the elbow in about 45 mins

Getting tested on BP today and yeah it’s elaborate but it’s not too bad

I'mma work for Bell. The biggest internet/phone/cable provider in Canada and they also handle car connectivity and Crave which is the streaming service to get HBO amongst other things.

I graduated in Finance and Marketing and had a couple of economics class and such.

Yeah it’s pretty confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it it’s not too bad. From what I remember, I found pelvis and lower limb to be the hardest parts to learn. Chest by far the easiest

We just finished upper extremities (neck, arms, chest, back) we’re about to do stomach and upper leg portion next

I heard brachial plexus was the hardest from all the TA’s in my class so we’ll see

I feel like a lot of people label it as the hardest because it’s usually the first complex thing that you learn in anatomy, but once you get it down it’s not bad.

Idk to me learning all the nerves and arteries and s*** in the pelvis was super hard. But I guess it’s different for everyone.

What are you going into after college that you need to take this class?

  • Feb 6, 2020

hate everyone in my communications class

  • Feb 6, 2020

Got a 28/30 on the worst essay i've ever turned in, in my life

im first year so its all just an intro to the different majors

marketing seems interesting to me but i was worried that it would be very hit or miss in terms of jobs

i could try for a double major tho
