Sorry bro, is the main thing making you feel bad school work? You good with your social life? And about grades/gpa I’ll say you should try your best obviously but your mental health should come before getting a perfect grade

i mean my social life isnt great but i live close enough to home where i can visit my old friends... when im in the dorm i just get overwhelmed with work and my grades just havent been there, which stresses me out since i have always been a solid student in the past... s*** is just going way worse than i ever expected and its f***ing with my mental
plus i have no one to talk to about it cuz i feel like my parents will be mad about my grades, and i never really talk about my mental health with friends (cuz i dont wanna look weak)

Ah man I feel you I went through some similar s*** my first year. Definitely talk to someone about this, talk to your closest friend/who you trust the most, plus I think you’d be surprised who’s been in similar situations. Also maybe find some non-academic activity to reduce stress, I go to the gym but it can be anything.
For academics I would suggest being organized and diligent with your work so you can get as much done with as little time put in. And remember it’s just your first semester, you can definitely improve in the future if you’re not happy with your grades this semester.

Damn that sounds like me
But seriously I would say reach out to however you feel the closest to. And maybe try to hang out with people in your classes and s***, but I’ve barely done that so who am I to say.
Something I kind of do is treat the school day like a work day, so doing homework in between classes, you could try that, basically you would only focus on school between your first class and last class.
You got this bro

What makes it so good?
It keeps bringing up older cards for review. For ex first time I see the card, I'll say it was easy, then it'll show me the card 3 days later. Do it again and it shows up a week later.
It's doing spaced repetition of the information for you, which is pretty much confirmed to be the best way to learn stuff
Anyone feel like they got into a college thats above their academic level?
In high school I got like 5 Ds and a few Fs, and had a 1180 SAT and my college average is like a 3.8 GPA with a 1330 SAT
And the kids here love learning like
I didn't even do that much in terms of extracurriculars, just track and field, xc, and art club
