Just realized this, but I feel like even if Complex wanted to give it to someone who isn’t superstar tier yet to avoid predictability and give shine to people who need it more then they should have just given it to JID.
Forever Story is insanely good, and imho was a huge step up from its predecessor, The Never Story.
Idk if he’s the best like that, but, and this is no hate toward 21, I think his 2022 was better than 21’s.
Again, I like Savage, but I think JID woulda been a better choice
