So i have a macbook pro late 2011. I currently have the original 500 GB SATA disk for storage. As I'm nearing 500 GB, I wanted to upgrade it to 1TB. I've went through like 10 youtube videos and countless reviews. I'm not sure what kind of hard drive to get. I basically use this computer for music, web surfing, and school. I don't do any gaming or video editing or any of that stuff. Would I get away with using this?

Is there something better or something that I should be worried about?

    Thanks

    why ssd > hdd?

i thought that was just for gamers and s***

    hows this one?

    https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-SSD-PLUS-Internal-SDSSDA-1T00-G26/dp/B07D998212/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=internal%2Bssd%2B1tb%2Bmac&qid=1586491396&sr=8-4&th=1

broo noo ssd is not for just gamers. the difference in read/write speeds is insane.

you shouldnt even be considering a hdd. Buy the biggest storage ssd you can and use an hdd to have as extra storage you wont need all the time.
