2010s has progressed rap musically so much that 90s production just sounds laughable now. The 90s flows are so tired and monotonous as well compared to how diverse rap can be now. Everyone essentially got the same style from the 90s with the exception of a few artists

There’s s*** from 2005 that sounds better than anything from the 90s. I’m not talking about outdated ness. It’s a fact that most 90s hip hop production is skeletal as f*** and has very few interesting ideas especially compared to what we see coming from this decade.

And sure rappers from this decade copy 90s flows, they also do so much more than just those flows. We see rappers these days incorporating more different vocal flows and styles on single tracks than 90s rappers have done their whole career.

i actually began listening to rap in 2015 and so far i've done like all of ATCQ, all of wu tang group s*** (plus liquid swords supreme clientele and N!!!GA Please), all of pac nwa mac dre and too $hort, i've done juvenile's 90's s***, the block is hot (haven't done waynes tapes yet tho just that album and the carters), guerilla warfare

i've also done all of ugk's 90's stuff, the 4 albums 3 6 did from 96 to like 00, rakim's stuff wit eric b, doggystyle, everything beastie boys did till 98, all of HOV (obviously), Illmatic, mos def's s***, doom, uhhhh i think i did hell is hot but i listened to it like once in 2016 so i dont remember much
