Both of them are extremely private with their media team runnin their social media. Who knows if some collaborators were actually told when it happened, but from the looks of it, that's not the case. Madlib and DOOM may have made such a monumental album, but you gotta remember they had barely any contact after that era. FlyLo released a whole song from him on GTA just weeks ago and was absolutely clueless he was dead.

Interested in what Madlib would have to say, though. Madvillainy is his biggest album and he always wanted to follow it up. He has a full length album coming next month and that could have some form of tribute towards him. If we ever get shows in 2021, he'll probably play some DOOM to honor him and s***. RIP
