Either you’re young, tripping or just forgetting. His music is used widely including at malls/shopping centres sometimes, he differs though from most artists that he tried to limit his music to not being reproduced. I remember him even shutting down videos of purple rain covers for example on TV shows

And another confession is I kinda find Prince's falsetto annoying. He just use a little bit too much. It wasn't bad, just overused
