I get what you are saying. Ironically it is conservatives who don't understand this and show some corporate Twitter account posting a rainbow flag to show some "cultural Marxist conspiracy" that is going on. They are just as delusional as liberals taking these corporations at face value. The Disney cucks are the biggest and most vapid examples I can think of. There are people whose political campaigning solely exists to ensure there are more non-white actors in superhero movies.

Yeah, those types of conservatives are exactly who i was criticizing by saying that any conservative who supports capitalism is basically digging their own grave. The reactionary approach of capitalist conservatives is to act like the reason corporations and institutions present certain ideas is because of some disconnected conspiracy because they've been basically conditioned since birth to understand capitalism as interwoven with their brand of normalcy. They can't understand that capitalism is the primary point of blame for their precious social norms being eroded because that is the primary basis of capitalism, so they have to default to acting like capitalism must simply be under attack.

The great irony is that conservatives do the "it wasn't real capitalism"-argument which they accuse socialists of doing.

Holy s*** what are you even rambling about

He asked why capitalism incentivizes innovation

Shareholder capitalism sucks to a degree but that's why we have ESG initiatives to create stakeholder capitalism

Your stereotype regarding conservatives as a boogieman is hilarious btw, that was the whole reason I decided to troll your stupid thread

The vast majority of that capital is illiquid goofy. These billionaires would have to sell off their equipment, buildings, basically the they’d have to sell off the very infrastructure of their business to get money off that.

Its like owning 100million dollar houses but you only make 100,000 a year.

cool so these people can cash out more than anyone else in the world... still makes them the richest lmfao

I mean the true enemy is how the government spends our tax dollars on bombing some kid I’ve never heard of

    so dumb lol

the state and its institutions are a reflection of whoever controls them

in this case its a wealthy ruling class that prioritizes preserving/increasing that wealth above all else

why do you think we're bombing people in the ME in the first place?

you said the true enemy is the government or maybe im just misunderstanding you ?

the guy quoting you was trying to imply that its all the governments fault ignoring the fact that the government is basically a tool for the capitalist class to use at this point

I don’t know why people look to private corporations to donate money “to such” “and such”. If we spent the amount of money on the Iraq and Afghanistan war on let’s say cancer research, having an entire continental maglev system, and a highly renewable energy and nuclear energy infrastructure, investment in education etc, this country. would be vastly different.

I understand corporations have the capacity to donate and many don’t, but to be fair it’s not expected of them to do so. However, we should READILY expect the government to fund such programs.

We wouldn’t even have to donate “for this cause” or “that” if the govt didn’t spend so much on the military industrial complex we’d be a much more advanced society.

I feel like we shouldn’t have pitch forks raised at private corporations, it’s not their role to help build a better society, that’s why we elect govt officials.

you cant expect government officials to "build a better society" when private corporations have accumulated so much wealth that they can effectively buy out the government and make it do their bidding

you cant "build a better society" when these same private corporations will do whatever it takes to stop that from happening

you bring up the war on terror expenditures when we went to war thanks to the military-industrial complex, oil companies, etc. and outsourced half of the war effort to private contractors and companies, generating a billion-dollar industry in the process

Can’t expect to change the govt when people our age don’t vote as much as old people, and if we did, the political landscape would be drastically different.

Theoretically zoomers and millennials have enough voting power to vote out all the old farts in bed with private corporations but our voter efficacy is shockingly low.

Politicians would sing a different tune if they found out they couldn’t sit in govt for 40+ yrs sleeping with private corporations.
