Was looking for something that would be good for different types of games, action games, RPG's, fighting games, etc.,
I was interested in the 8Bitdo Pro 2 wired or bluetooth because I had the prior bluetooth model and it worked well, I still have it but it randomly bricked and support wasn't helpful. also liked it because it seems that it would work for switch as well

yeah xbox controller has always been the easiest, always used to use my 360
for consoles, I'm assuming it would only work for xbox right? unless I used some sort of adapter?

I think so. If u were to get an xbox controller, just get the new xbox controller and get one of these if you want back paddles/buttons or something. I think theres a setting you can use on it where you can remove recoil in shooters or something. Dont use it for multiplayer, I think you can get banned or something lol. I personally use a xbox elite controller series 2. Tho it is built cheap and my bumpers sometimes dont work. I ordered me a battle beaver for Christmas and im waiting for that.

lmao is this the kronus thing? or is this something else? I remember people complaining about something that removes recoil the last time I followed CoD, but it's been a while
thank you though! I remember stuff like this being useful for CoD players that wanted to jump shot and drop shot easier
Just get a PS5 or Xbox controller, everything is pretty compatible these days
I’m still using a Dualshock4 and never had any problems

360 works on PC with like a $30-40 adapter
newer ones work with bluetooth and dont need an adapter, i got this one after my adapter broke

thanks! from personal experience do you know anything about input latency bluetooth vs wired? I would assume wired has less delay typically but I heard in some cases bluetooth has less, I guess it may depend on the device. if you're unsure that's fine I was just curious

never noticed any delay but all i play is racing games with it
Xbox One controller with the Windows adapter. It's a very solid controller
DS4/DS5 works as well natively on Steam but you may have trouble with in-game inputs displayed

I'm not sure if Xbox controllers handle bluetooth differently but my personal experience with DS4 on bluetooth is that playing non steam games can be really annoying when they decide to disconnect (which is going to happen sometimes cause bluetooth is just garbage). I just bought a really long wire from Amazon and haven't looked back; been having basically no issues since then.
Also as someone said; if you are using a playstation controller sometimes some games will just show Xbox inputs instead

Nah Cronus is different lol but you can do some recoil s*** with this tho. Never used it tho
i just got the 8bitdo 2.4g ultimate controller and i like it a lot. feels just like a first party controller quality wise and i haven't noticed any input lag at all. nice thing is the charging base has a pass through for the 2.4g dongle so all you need to do is plug the charging base into a usb port on your pc and it acts as the charger and the 2.4 dongle. when you pick up the controller off the charger it automatically turns on and connects in like 5 seconds.
