just collect unemployment and get high all day
This is where our tax dollars go. Christ man come on. Do better OP. Try the job out at the very least. Maybe being preoccupied with mundane tasks will help ever so slightly.
Not like sitting on your ass becoming a junkie is gonna help you or anyone else out. Take it step by step but you gotta actively work on bettering yourself.
Lmaooo shut the f*** up. There’s no reason why we shouldn’t support people going through depressive episodes with unemployment. Any reasonable society wouldn’t have anyone’s worth or ability to live comfortably rest entirely on their employment status.
The longer you stay like this the harder it will be to get back into the fold
I’m dealing with the same s*** right now. I’m done college and I’m just coasting now, still collecting unemployment and not doing much else. I’m worried about how hard it’s going to be to get back in the groove. With that being said, we are still in a pandemic so that’s my excuse for now. Once I get vaccinated I won’t have any more excuses.
Yeah I'm at work now I'm doing fine and I hope you get back in the groove too.

also this
It may seem annoying, trust me I’ve been there I get it, but please know she really is trying to help. Depression will convince you of absolutely wild s*** you need something to help pull you out. All I wanted to do was get high and keep to myself but there was nothing there for me by doing that

y'all really gotta start reading the threads lmfao but i'm glad you're getting through it too
Good on @op for taking the job and trying to pull themselves out of that spiral.
Take it from someone who spent almost two whole years suicidally depressed with no significant improvement, that s*** does not let up on its own. That's why we need friends, family, counselors, etc. to pick us up when we can't put one foot in front of the other.
