This is a great video that talks about how most things are not original and come from somewhere else. They talk about new things are created by copying, transforming, and combining something and it creates something new.

It definitely changed my view about being creative. Especially now since there are so many resources to find the source of the influences. I think it is ok to wear your influences on your sleeves.
