  • Any time I hear Carnival, I think "this is actually kind of a banger, but it's hard to listen to Kanye without feeling weird."

Some people will say separate the art from the artist, but I think it crosses the line to becoming inseparable when the artist starts spewing bigoted hateful s***.

But with Kanye, you've also got to acknowledge his mental health problems. Obviously we don't know when exactly he is and isn't on meds, but his random manic episodes seem indicative of untreated mental issues.

If he said, "I'm on my meds again, and I renounce all of the racist hateful s*** I've said" (and actually stuck with that instead of immediately doing the same s*** again), could he be forgiven by the mainstream?

And if he did all that and dropped something TLOP-level (I think anything Yeezus or MBDTF caliber is out of the question at this point), could he regain his former status?

Or do you think it's a done deal for Yeezy and he's irredeemable?

He sounded better than he has in awhile on Vultures, but yeah he def sounds like s*** more often than not. I'm sure he could still flow if he actually tried, because his flow was never that amazing to begin with.

even some new technology let me not box him in like that ever

a new project we could get behind

deeper depths of the stem player or new tech ideas

a actually fully fleshed out app idea or something

but other than that idk. it would have to be organic.

Nah he immediately lost me with that tech s***. Nobody got time to waste on that. If he was gonna pull that s*** he should've done it a decade ago, not during a time when his public reputation was in the toilet

Lots of artists have. Eric Clapton for example. He also did get a number 1 for his first time in 20 years so. He’ll be fine. Artists have been doing crazy s*** and are recognized for their art regardless for hundreds of years. It’s a tale as old as time. People still value Carravagio’s contribution to the arts even though he killed somebody, this stuff isnt anything new.

No because even before he did all that he was already on a downward trajectory. That s*** just accelerated it. The last glimpses of greatness was in 2016 with TLOP but he went full on MAGA and wasn't the same since

    you're smoking d***.

next time Ye drops everyone stopping and going to listen to whatever it is.

  • Definitely. But Kanye can’t do no fake apology

He has to really mean it and denounce hate

nothing drake has dropped this decade can compete with the hype Donda had before it's release.

Fair prediction bc it's the most likely outcome with him, so you'd say he's irredeemable at this point?

Vultures itself was a bounce back. Sellin his products direct to consumer is a bounce back.

If bounce back to you means that the industry openly loves you or that you being the medias darling then yes he will never bounce back. Same way Chris never bounced back to that level.

CLB dropped the week after with only a ESPN commercial and it doubled the hype
