So it sounds like I will :( 😭😭😭

    Unfortunately you’ll probably have to

The founding fathers knew this day would come which is why the second amendment wasn’t actually written for home defense but instead to be a “checks and balance” in the event of a usurpations and corrupt government that must be overthrown by the people

This would be unprecedented(gore vs bush was about 1 state & less than 1k votes) there literally would be war

This is an mf that said he would never accept the election results unless he won, already meaning no concession is possible

This is an mf that is a mukti-millionaire and somehow managed to finesse his taxes by only paying 750.56$ a year, or to receive huge tax breaks in the 1970’s in an impoverished NYC to build a ginormous tower under his name

I believe that this is a man that will do whatever it takes to get his way, and he will do so by any means necessary, damn the consequences and whoever stands in his way

And you say there’s a 33% chance this happens

I really hope I’m wrong and you’re right though

2020 has been a hell of a year bro

But I don’t have my gun rights restored man(that’s a story for another time)

Also Gore gracefully conceded the moment he was declared the loser by the Supreme Court verdict

It’s crazy how Gore was “president-elect” for about 36 days until he had to relinquish the title to Bush

Trump is the type to refuse to concede and say “Proud Boys stand up and roll out” if the Supreme Court sides in favor of Biden

Bush v. Gore was to stop a recount. Trump's trying to sue several states instead of fighting over a single one. Plus, even Samuel Alito, one of the most Conservative judges on the court who wants to overturn the gay marriage ruling from 5 years ago, is just basically telling the Pennsylvania Election Commission to do what it was always doing.

He can try as much as he want to bring it to the Supreme Court but even his sycophant judges would just laugh this off

Alito told the state to seperate the “late mail-in ballots” and to count them seperately in case they’re found to be unconstitutional and have to be disqualified

The fact that he motioned to have this done confirms that there is the legal potential for mail-in ballots to be voided null and considered invalid

Why is it now when mail in ballot voting has been a thing for several elections?

Constitutionally mail-in ballots and requested absentee ballots are different under the law

Also the ballots specifically in question in Pennsylvania are mail-in ballots that are either: sent up to 3 days after election day, not date stamped by USPS, no paid postage, signature not matching records, etc.

All tiny technical aspects of the mail-in ballot that could have them disputed and invalidated

i dont think the supreme court, no matter how pro-trump, would want to make rulings that openly defy the popular vote as well as the projected electoral college vote since it would, as you said, cause literal chaos

"Supreme Court justices fear 'chaos' if members of the Electoral College can defy the popular vote"
"As Justice Brett Kavanaugh remarked at one point, there is an 'avoid chaos principle of judging.' If a case is a close call, and one outcome is likely to cause chaos, then judges should choose the other outcome."
"Alito was also the first justice to warn that faithless electors could trigger “chaos."

Yea that's the main reason why Trump can't pull it off

Not because it's illegal/unconstitutional but because it would shatter every American's hope and faith in the country/democracy/elections

you're not wrong, but the fact that conservatives hoped he would give them a miracle win shows that the expectation for the court helping Trump win a second term is way off base from reality

I'm less worried about the Supreme Court overturning it than Trump convincing the electoral voters to ignore the popular vote for their state and confirm the state's electoral votes for Trump instead. Doesn't say in the constitution it can't be done. Who knows what s*** they could pull. Though honestly in the end I'm pretty sure it's impossible for Trump to escape given the lead. Hopefully the GOP shuts that s*** down when it starts to get embarrassing looking

There is no way Trump can get faithless electors, certainly not multiple states who voted blue

Right please man I’m scared for the safety of my family and friends

Yea I assume that conservatives expected Alito to just magically decide to remove the mail-in ballots entirely but at the same time this is just getting started and Alito may be a great asset down the road in regards to pulling this legal coup off

Even the most biased judge can't show their hand immediately they have to gradually and incrementally push the agenda forward

To put it in perspective there were more faithless electors for Hillary in 2016 (8 total 5 validated and 3 invalidated) than there were for Trump (only 2 total) even though Hillary won the popular vote

If Trump can do it then he can 100% do it now on a much larger scale

Trump can do it again by sending rival conservative electors to compete with democrats and flip the count in his favor

Like I’m legit scared, it’s a packed court, and like what I don’t understand is that Trump cult members say that they’ll overturn it but they don’t explain how. Would they remove ballots from Biden? Would they call for a recall vote in states that Fake bone Spurs is contesting? Like I don’t understand what there expecting. The Supreme Court interprets the law, but fact checkers keep debunking there “evidence”. While judges in state governments have thrown the lawsuits out multiple times. What makes people think the law of the land is going to steal the election from Biden.

Why are you scared? Presidents don't actually have as much power to be dictators as much as you think. No matter who's in charge, there isn't going to be some sort of radical change as a result.
