That Compton album was more or less a soundtrack to compliment Straight Outta Compton. The same way Kendrick did that Black Panther Album to compliment the Black Panther movie. It also doesn't help that Compton JUST came to streaming platforms outside of Apple Music/iTunes officially last year.

It should still be up for pre-order. I did mine back as soon as it was available. Said it'd be released in June or July lol

Who actually wanted a Dr Dre album that sounded exactly like the 90's? The production was super layered (some say chaotic but i like it personally), it has some of Kendrick best guest verses of all time, the unknown names (at the time) all brought something to this album. Especially .Paak

It was just too modern sounding for a lot of Dre fans. But i've said this before, if any other rapper released the exact same project it would've been a cult classic

I haven listened to the album in years because of its unavailability. But what I do remember of it the album was very nice and when people learn to accept that it isn't Detox it gets better.
