To this day I wonder why he didn’t just put the Coachella version on the album
That and why didn’t he use the finished version of Jesus is Lord
Album could’ve been top 5 Ye if he executed
How can old Kanye be considered good if Fantano gave him a 6 at his “peak”
How can old Kanye be considered good if Fantano gave him a 6 at his “peak”
Cause fantano takes d*** in the ass and wouldn't know good hip hop if it smacked him in the jaw
Man, I'm sort of conflicted with this thread tbh.
Flynn got a good point, I can say the last kanye project I thorougly enjoyed was TLOP and it still came out kind of ehh to me.
Y'all gonna crucify me for this though

I think JIK is pretty damn unique
Same
I mean for his standards, not really. But compared to every other mainstream artist it’s pretty unique
Even then I still feel like JIK is a cut above a lot of mainstream artists albums... especially with the production.
Nah B I miss when Kanye was on top of the world
every mountain has a peak and a fall my g. i miss it too but at least he's still here

I’m gonna crucify you like Jim Caviezel, David P. How dare you.

the GOAT has spoken
kanye made a gospel rap song and sampled s*** like this but he’s somehow not as creative as he once was
!https://youtu.be/YWFGVF9Z51Athe original sample is 10x better than the song
JIK was similar to every other kanye album in the sense it’s based off where kanye is at in his life atm. i don’t even like the album like that but ill always give him props for managing to get me to listen an entire album of jesus music and have me like a hand full of songs
I liked JIK but just imagine how popular an objectively great ye album would be s*** would be welcomed by literally everyone
he's always talking about how he wants his music to do well when all he needs to do is drop another classic
Why is it so wild to you that an artist had his peak and come off it
this. rick rubin said once that no artist has stayed as consistently great as kanye for as long as he has. i’m completely fine with him releasing whatever he wants at this point. he’s given us so much great work already
