Sooner or later you will find out it doesn't work like that.
As a Dev I've met dozens of people with "a great idea".
Just to find out it revolves around me doing 90% of the work.
I get paid 4k a month for my regular job why tf would I work for free for potential profit that's not even guaranteed
I've already had my first acquiring offer from an incubator but didn't like the terms. Lets talk more to see if we can work something out.
people hating on op for asking for help with an idea get a life
In tech implementation >>>> ideas

But it does. There are plenty of successful tech startups created this way and by people with little to no dev knowledge. That’s what a good leader does. You surround yourself with people smarter and more skillful than you. The work is irrelevant if we’re talking about the potential of ownership and subsequently, a life changing endeavor. It’s dope you’re making 4K a month building someone else’s dream but if the ideas you’ve been presented with were truly great, it would be idiotic to throw the opportunity away simply because it would take a bit more work on your part, especially if we talking significant equity. Even 5% ownership of a million dollar company is better than 4K a month because there’s no cap on that assuming growth.

How’d you approach the incubator?

Where I live (Berlin) only 1 percent of startups succeed

Most in general fail. According to the numbers, you’re probably more likely to fail than succeed no matter what country you’re in lol. Doesn’t mean you don’t try. Someone else out there is even despite all the numbers so why not?
headass
Terrible episode
Where I live (Berlin) only 1 percent of startups succeed
Number is even lower for BtoC apps, would be interesting to have a general idea of what OP wants to do cause that’s the worst possible field to start a business in if it’s your first company
I can make it for android but you gotta buy me a mac OP if you want me to make iOS version

I’m not even trying to hate but where are you working as an engineer making $4K a month??

Berlin
Except if you're a Dev you'll get tons of these people.
Ive heard "but I won't tell you what the idea is, cause you will steal it and get all the equity" so many times its insane
1000% this. If you really have something, there will be quality developers out there happy to jump in. But that generally requires proprietary tech and strong product/market fit.
The fact that you’re not willing to share your idea is a huge red flag that you have no core competency/differentiation.
I would check out Upwork tbh
you can say that there is demand, but no one can believe that off this post on a kanye forum website
if you're one of those people who seriously believes your idea has people gunning to steal, at least outline what the core problem you're seeking to solve is, what people are currently dissatisfied with in the market that makes this issue pressing to solve, whether or not people are dissatisfied with the problem enough to be potentially ok w ur monetization scheme, how you're gonna differentiate from other products in that market, whats preventing someone else from stealing your idea the minute your idea hits the market
That's pretty low IMO
Naw the entry is 36k here but the expenses are super low could have gotten 100k in Hamburg but it ain't worth it with those rent prices I only pay 900 worth of mortage here,Hamburg easily goes above 2k
How’d you approach the incubator?
sent a bunch of cold emails with my pitch deck attached
I’m not even trying to hate but where are you working as an engineer making $4K a month??
quality of life in Germany is elite though
I have an app im trying to have come to fruition, i recently got a patent for it. I need a dev. Comment if you are interested.
I would offer my technical consulting services for a few hours Saturday morning if you can afford to pay me at standard market rate
Where I live (Berlin) only 1 percent of startups succeed
because of the eu regulatory environment
well im in the process of getting a MVP(minimal viable product) and already have a patent.but yes u are correct
what kind of patent lol? post the #
