Have any of you had the problem wherein you think you have genuinely good/interesting thoughts and ideas, but you were lacking in the ability to turn that creativity/thought process into actual income?
Is it typically caused by an unrealized issue of laziness, false sense of individuality, or perhaps some just aren't meant to be independent entrepreneurs? If you've felt this way about yourself before, but eventually managed to turn your ideas into income, what helped you do that?
Perhaps the answer isn't black & white for many people, but I'd like to hear your thoughts. I'm asking this question due to my own personal struggles, and I'm suspecting that the answer, for me, is laziness and insecurity. I'm working on it.
Just be patient

Absolutely
I was depressed, anxiety ridden and didn't have my ideas developed enough yet. I needed a few more years under my belt, that's really it.
Early 20's were tough, I tried to fit into the typical mold of society and it broke me for a good bit plus I was dealing with emotions for my upbringing.
Complicating

You have to have your head on straight before you tackle anything where you're making your own path
Creatives need to focus on creating and partner up with someone that handles the business side of things. Ive had some interviews with lenders recently for my research and they all said that an entrepreneur is a certain type of person, not everyone can do it. Its like this perfumer Francis Kurkdjian who makes amazing creations but needed Marc Chaya to handle the business side of things. Like how Drake needed Oliver and Future the Prince etc..
Are there people who can do both? Sure, but theres no shame in needing help. People who think that they can do it all on their own are the scariest type of people

Absolutely accurate in many cases

Facts, and also you can’t quit
You don’t truly fail if you never quit.
Everyone with a profitable business is persistent. The discipline is the most important part.
This applies to pretty much everything
Try —> Fail —> Re-Optomize —> Try Again
Our weird generation has us believing that everyone can be an entrepreneur but that isnt the case

Good to see you doing well bro, hope your sister is well also.
It has more to do with the fact most people can’t afford to take risks. People talk about Jeff the Bozo and Elon Musty not realizing both of them had a safety net to fall on if they failed. Majority of other people don’t have the same safety net to fall on if their creativity doesn’t work out. Working a regular and just trying to survive stunts most people from capitalizing off creative ideas because they are just trying to make it in general. Nothing to something stories sound great, but the majority of them had some sort of stable income or income they could land on so they had the time space and the clarity to work on ideas

Sounds like you're giving the reason why you choose not to go in the business direction lol

If you only take risks because you have a safety net that's not taking a risk.

I’m not talking for me specifically. This is the case for so many people I know personally who are super talented and could chase a dream based around their talent but are instead just depressed chasing the norm because their time is focused on survival it’s not to say their aren’t people with nothing to something stories who have it their alll from the bottom. It’s just that a lot of these success stories come from people who could afford to fail
If you only take risks because you have a safety net that's not taking a risk.
Please tell that to all the rich guys who people gas up for taking risks when they were already set regardless lol
Bro all I know is I'm drunk on a Sunday night and feeling great

you f***ing goat
A think a lot of it has to do with taste and personal perspective.
Being creative is really subjective and if you make great stuff or not more so has to do with your confidence and how you feel but others could take it differently.
If you want to focus on enterprise and success just look at how a lot of great people thought so low of themselves along their journey. A lot of creative minds are actually insecure but as long as you keep trying and don't give up you can succeed.
On the other side there's a lot of entrepreneurs who we could say aren't creative just hard working. Again perseverance is the answer to success not exactly good art but it goes a long way if you have that too.
Turning what you love into a business could also hurt your love for it and that's not appealing to a lot of creative people like myself. I cook at home and already cooked in restaurants and never want to do it again professionally.
Please tell that to all the rich guys who people gas up for taking risks when they were already set regardless lol
I left school with absolutely no safety net, what you're saying is true for some people though
You have to take the risk but you need to calculate.
Do I have business acumen? Will someone buy this?
It's complicating, yeah you can cite Bezos and Musk but there are SO many people who start with minimal money, look at Master P for example, what like 5k and started No Limit?
I'd say for me it has always been my perfectionism, feeling like my hypothetical audience would reject my work if it isn't perfect to my own standards, but unhealthy perfectionism is simply rooted in fear. Confidence comes with persistence and maturity. Have faith and stay persistent, don't ever give up. I believe that all of us have the power to make our dreams come true exactly how we see them.
Please tell that to all the rich guys who people gas up for taking risks when they were already set regardless lol
Yeah those rags to rich stories are bs, I used to think only children would fall for them but there's a lot of older men who stan Bezos and Musk online. We're in a weird time where they're living through them. You can't get through to that mentality.
