Did he talk down on this film?

His critique for the announced-then unannounced Drago spin-off film seemed exclusive to that, though his tone could’ve related to this one too.

But from what ive seen he’s supporting Michael B taking over the reigns for this.

Yeah it was about Drago specifically, which according to Dolph was a misfire on part of the publication that broke the story because it isn’t even in production

Sly I believe yeah is definitely supportive of this movie. He also has a prequel Rocky series written and another movie where Rocky trains an immigrant boxer so he’s not above any sequels etc

MBJ outdoing Coogler will be the craziest s*** to witness. I just can't see this happening.

I feel like MBJ directing is gonna fuel a lot of fire into the characters and depth. I also think it’ll be hard to top Coogler but I wouldn’t be surprised if it comes close. Or maybe I’m just hype off the news of excellent test screenings

For real! It’s truly his baby. Guy was broke and fought to get it made with him as the lead almost 50 years ago and he’s still just as passionate about it

Nah the stuff about the Drago film was a totally different set of comments.

He has his own official forum that he posts on now and then, you have to have approved membership to see s*** though I believe.

Anyway, he posted something like a month ago saying he was asked to come in and help with the Creed 3 edit around the time of the delay, but apparently it wasn't up to scratch as far as he was concerned - I think he even labelled it a "failure" in its current state and said he didn't want to be involved.

If this latest test screening is bringing in rave reviews though from first impressions, maybe they pulled off a miracle with this newest cut.

Still blows my mind he had the same turtles from 50 years ago and popped them into Creed II. I mean I know those guys can live like 100 years, but still it was pretty dope.

I never tried to sign up actually, just see screenshots from threads here and there but I might give it a look

But yeah his comments re. the Creed 3 cut def felt connected to the brand being tarnished by the producers, like it spun off of that discussion

Also dunno if you guys saw, but Dolph tweeted shortly after the recent Drago spinoff announcements that he had only agreed to be involved because the producers straight up lied and told him Sly was onboard with it lmao. Then he went online and saw Sly talking major s*** about it
