Weird. Didnt know they changed it

so many crit digipaks w/ slips are just getting switched to plastic scanavos now i like them but some r f***ing babies and cry about dinged up corners. idk could probably be a cost cutting thing too.

    Scanavos?

mb that's the regular plastic cases, i just refer to plastic cases by manufacturer name

iirc ace in the hole is now in a plastic case. i think they're retiring most of the BD/DVD combos and putting them in plastics need to grab the furies before they get rid of the novel in it

some new releases do get digis tho, but the human condition is a 3 disc one in a plastic case, idk why they did it like that

I'm conflicted cause the plastic cases stack better and are sturdier but hold less extras

im partial to digis with slips myself tbh, but yeah criterion's are mad flimsy. eureka's hardbound cases r so goat like the african queen one, feels like ikea chipboard when u knock on that s***

Nah. I remember linking a Boetticher boxset to you a couple years ago on the OG site, but i never ended up getting it myself. Im pretty sure that set was region b and that was before i had a region-free player

man I haven't bought a physical release in a real minute but the flick deserves a blu

Nice to see another Gambler fan from a real one

they did the same with the assayas blus i already own all of them. not even a collector's booklet or the regular ones included. the box art goes hard tho
might get it if it hits £25 on sale though and get rid of my current copies. a used record/film shop here lets you swap arrows, eurekas and crits 1:1 or for cash just gonna keep the demonlover booklet

For those interested in Edward Yang, this is one of those releases that will likely only be available for a short time and then disappear forever, just like it was last time it was released

I pray that Mahjong and Confucian Confusion get restored, it would be such a shame if they didn’t

    $50

    $50

It's a steep price for a movie that there seem to be no plans to release stateside.

If it's the same transfer as before, then I imagine you're paying for top quality work on a not-highly-sought release.
