Yeah I put Come And See on the lower tier of Soviet cinema and definitely felt like I never need to see it again depends on how much you enjoy watching war crimes and horrible atrocities and s*** I guess
Fellini probably in my top 20 wild dude
Might revisit 8½ soon cause it been a long time
lower tier, middle tier, upper tier, and upper class high art tier, I love it all man! That's the fun thing about diving into cinema history for me, I'll usually find something influential about a film(s).
Been meaning to ask about some Soviet Union or German cinema recommendations. Do you have any letterboxd list on hand?
Any of y’all watched “Man Push Cart”? Thought it was really good
Saw that film some years back man, I remembered really enjoying it. Dirty New York lonerism charter study at its finest.... hopefully I can purchase that blu ray soon. Check out his other features, "Chop Shop" (which is on Criterion now) and "Goodbye Solo".
Vinegar Syndrome and Severin having their Black Friday sale btw
I don't own anything from this boutique yet. Rarovideo are having their sale too until the 28th!

I copped a couple and I would recommend checking out Vinegar's partner labels. Fun City Editions piques my interest a little.

You proud of me bro? Still gonna grab 4K of red shoes when it releases
I am but also final dire warning not to weigh yourself down with material goods looming dread at having to tow this library around for the rest of my life excuse the wonky ass panorama
Criterion is part of my film school. The Tarantino method.
Ahh yes the Tarantino Method! You gotta look into that Fun City Editions release of "Walking the Edge"

Yes but still I got it when I went and did a bit of a movie nerd trip to Hollywood and stayed at the Biltmore (where the Oscars were held for like 60 years and scenes from tons of movies including Chinatown were filmed) and found a cool poster shop on Hollywood Boulevard where I fittingly found Chinatown and another LA classic which was probably still in cinemas also 2001 and The Searchers which i still havent framed
